The pinks are still going strong

  1. I.F. I fished the Puyallup this evening from 630-730, no bites. I observed a lot of fishing moving up the river. Also it was a high tide, I notice more action on a falling tide. Whats your take?

  2. Fishing on the out going tide is good as well. I prefer the incoming tide, just because i've had most success during incoming.

what size lure were you using? small & bright is best right now....

  3. My son and I fished our usual place yesterday from 3:30 until 6 PM. The water level was way down... a lot fewer people and a lot fewer fish. We only saw a half dozen or so caught. I adjusted my drag as you suggested. I only had one fish on the whole time but I landed it making for my 2nd one ever. The fish seemed smaller and did not have a lot of fight but they were good looking fish. My son got skunked which was pretty unusual, it’s usually the other way around.

Will there be a big push of silvers like there was with the pinks?

  4. There should be a strong push of silver the beginning of October, and this next week should be pretty good for silvers.

The silvers that come in the first week of october are a little bigger -8-12 lbs. with the occasional 15 lb.

It won't be anything like the have to work for your fish much harder

  5. Ignorant Fisherman...I called the net line ater a DEAD fishing day today (Tuesday 9-20). The message was from 9-1 and they state sun thru tues at noon for the next three weeks. That would mean today was the last day correct. In your post I got the impression it was going one more week ...please clarify.

  6. was the last day as far as the hotline states for "that schedule"....I'm not totally sure, but I'm pretty sure they net until the end of december.

I know for sure they net in november & december for the chum run, but I'll look into wether they net in october.
